DESCRIPTION
Upstart
Upstart
is a utility for converting and merging Outlook® PSTs. It converts ANSI
PSTs to Unicode, Unicode PSTs to ANSI, unencrypted PSTs to encrypted
and so on. In addition it combines arbitrary PSTs and splits PSTs by size, date or message class.
Key features
- Combines any number of PSTs into one -- in a single operation.
- Can merge PSTs at the root level or put each PST into its own folder tree.
- Supports deduplication during the merge process. This allows you to consolidate multiple overlapping archives.
- Can
merge all the PSTs on a drive with one command. Great for PSTs on file
servers! (Applies to Site and Enterprise editions only)
- Performs ANSI-to-Unicode and Unicode-to-ANSI conversions in place.
- Supports bulk conversions. Save loads of time by converting dozens of ANSI PSTs to Unicode, or vice versa, in one shot.
- Handles
all types of item: messages, Contacts, appointments, tasks, forms and
views. (Outlook rules are a special case. Upstart handles rules in
conversions with no problem but is not able to combine rules when
merging PSTs.)
- Guaranteed free from adware, snoopware, and all things nasty.
- No installation step needed. Just download, unzip and run. You can carry Upstart around on a thumb drive or even a diskette.
Requirements
- The only essential requirement for using
Upstart is Microsoft® Outlook 2003 or 2007
- A screen resolution of at least 1024x768
- We recommend using Upstart on a system that does not have Exchange Server or the Exchange Management Tools installed
- Upstart has some conflicts with OsaSync PRO and Lookout and should be used with caution if either of these tools is in use
Licensing
A
single-user license permits use of the product by
one person on one system. The license may be transferred from person to
person within an organization. A single-user license is typically the
appropriate choice for a home user, a small business or for a larger
organization wishing to try out the product prior to acquiring a site
or enterprise license.
A
site license
allows your organization to reproduce and distribute registered copies
within a single location for a fixed license fee. This license is
normally appropriate for schools, local government departments and
small to medium sized businesses.
An
enterprise license
allows a company to reproduce and distribute registered copies
throughout all business locations for a fixed license fee. Enterprise
licenses are usually purchased by corporations with multiple offices
and by state and national government departments. |
