Time required: 24-29 minutes
By the end of this Mini Lesson, students will be able to capitalize...
- the names of organizations and institutions.
- the names of historical documents, events, and periods of time.
- the names of days, months, and holidays.
- the names of automobiles, trains, ships, and aircraft.
- the abbreviations B.C, A.D., A.M., and P.M.
- the first word in every sentence and direct quotation.
- the greeting and closing of a letter or e-mail.
- each line of an outline.
- all the important words in the titles of intellectual or creative works.
In addition, students will recognize correct capitalization in 15 sample sentences.
Capitalization Part 2, Full Version, comes with a word search and a crossword puzzle. Additionally, all "Free Trial" stamps have been removed.
With the presentation itself and both puzzles, an entire class period will be needed to complete all of the activities.
