SAUVER Personal Backup

Sauver Personal Backup is more than just a backup program -- it's a complete system for allowing unattended regular backups of your important files, without requiring you to leave your PC "logged on" at the end of the day. Sauver is true "Set and Forget" backup. Once you've specified the directories you want to back up, and where you want the backups to be put, your job is done.

And restoring any or all files or any version of your files is a snap. The Restore program presents you with a list of your saved files, along with versions and save dates. Just pick what you want to restore, indicate where (original directory or somewhere else), and your files are there!

Sauver Personal Edition Features:

  • Sauver is designed as a system service -- No need to leave yourself logged on to run the backup.
  • Backups can be scheduled to be run daily, weekly, monthly, on demand, when you log on, or when you log off.
  • Backups can be set to repeat automatically every so many minutes, from a start time to an end time.
  • No 4GB file limit (on file systems that support larger files). Sauver's proprietary SAF file format can save any size file.
  • A desktop tray program informs you when backups start and finish, and gives you complete control over the backup process.
  • You can optionally have Sauver email you (or someone else) when backups complete, along with detailed diagnostics if there's ever a problem.
  • Backups can be encrypted with a pass-phrase supplied by the user.
  • Save backups to SAF files, ZIP files, or discrete files in a directory tree that mirrors the original.
  • Choose Full backups, Incremental backups, or Differential backups, with any number of partials per set, and any number of complete sets.
  • Specify multiple files or directories to back up, and specify files or directories to ignore as well as file masks to include or exclude.
  • Optionally track deleted files on backups, so a complete restore doesn't saddle you with all the files you've deleted over time.
