Terminating execution of un-registered program versions after a specified expiration date. A user interface is provided for entering registration data and saving it in a convenient (ASCII INI-file) form or printing for delivery to licensor. Registered end-users are provided with a developer-generated serial-number/key-code combination that disables the expiration date, thus allowing normal execution to proceed.
