HOW WE REVIEW
First of all, we like to watch movies for the entertainment of doing, so don't expect any "stuffy" reviews here. Like most people, we enjoy good acting and cinematography; but our first loyalty is to what we feel is the most important element of any good movie: the plot. If the plot is boring or otherwise has areas that leave you wondering how the story arrived at a certain point, the movie won't get a high rating with us no matter how beautiful the scenery, dazzling the special effects, or good the acting. Our highest ratings are reserved for those few movies with great plots, good acting, and nice special effects.

So, sit back and use our site to help you get a better idea of the movies you should be looking for at your local box office or video store. You may wish to start with our most popular page, which is a list of all our movie reviews sorted alphabetically.

PURCHASING MOVIES
Many of the movies we review are available on DVD and VIDEO and may be purchased conveniently online from Amazon.com. Movies ship fast and inexpensively, and they always make terrific gifts.
