Title - Description Critic Rating MPAA Rating MPAA Rating Reason
Aladdin - This full-length cartoon is entertaining for kids and adults alike with great animation from Walt Disney Pictures. The story has romance, action, comedy, musical numbers, and lots of fun and excitement. ♦♦♦♦½ G Does not contain anything that would, in the view of the Rating Board, be offensive to parents whose younger children view the film.
Beauty and the Beast - Another great full-featured cartoon from Walt Disney Pictures, Beauty and the Beast is delightful. A handsome prince has been cursed to look like a monster and must find a lady that will love him for who he is on the inside to break the curse. ♦♦♦♦♦ G Does not contain anything that would, in the view of the Rating Board, be offensive to parents whose younger children view the film.
Blast from the Past - It`s 1962 and John Kennedy comes on TV to announce the Cuban Missle Crisis. One family is especially ready and, without hesitation, locks themselves in a bomb shelter. They emerge 35 years later to find they made a mistake, and that a lot has changed! ♦♦♦♦ PG-13 for some language, sex, and drug references
Con Air - Cameron Poe was wrongly sentenced to jail for a murder he committed in only self-defense. After several years of "hard time", Poe has a chance to reunite with his family, but only with a few obstacles on the way. ♦♦♦♦ R for strong violence and anguage
E.T -- The Extra-Terrestrial - One of the most delightful stories of the science fiction genre, E.T. is about a young boy that befriends a cute being from outerspace who finds himself "stranded" on earth. Very warm, funny moments make the story especially endearing. ♦♦♦♦♦ PG very mild science fiction themes and some mild language
F/X - A special-effects wizard is paid by the Justice Department to stage a fake assassination of a mobster ready to provide evidence about his former associates. A terrific plot with many surprises and twists, plus good acting makes this movie a great one. ♦♦♦♦½ R for profanity, suggested sex, and violence
Godfather, The - This screen adaptation of Mario Puzo`s novel takes you into the underworld of organized crime where corruption is a way of life and morals are selected in a very peculiar way. ♦♦♦♦♦ R for realistic violence, adult themes, language
Never Been Kissed - Drew Barrymore lets the "innocent" side of her come out in this particular role. She plays a quiet, non-agressive editor who goes back to high school, undercover, to find a story that will enhance the image of the newspaper she works for. ♦♦♦♦ PG-13 for some sex-related material and some drug content
Wizard of Oz, The - An enchanting story of a girl who gets whirlwinded to a magical place where she meets some new friends and then must work with them to find her way home. This movie is an absolute classic for children and adults alike. ♦♦♦♦♦ Not Rated Some elements could be a little scary for young children in this classic, but it would likely get a "G" rating from the MPAA.
